Job summary

Esoko is currently seeking to engage the services of a mature, bright, and confident Chief Finance Officer. This is an excellent time to be part of a fast growing innovative company that is spreading across Africa. This senior role will involve strategic planning, risk management, mentoring, and budgeting. This role is critical to ensuring that the business is defining and meeting clear and reasonable financial objectives-primarily in terms of target profitability and management of working capital. The successful candidate should have a passion for team building, knowledge sharing, identifying efficiency opportunities and proactively pursue visible interaction across the Company.

 

Job Functions

  • Develop long term financial models and projections
  • Help design the business model and strategy
  • Design subscriber and franchise pricing models
  • Participate with the CEO in fund raising
  • Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism
  • Work closely with dept managers on development and implementation of budgets
  • Report on financial matters, strategy, options to shareholders and board
  • Design and evaluate financial & business models for new partnerships, clients and grants
  • Evaluate the organizations fiscal function, processes and performances
  • Evaluate and select a financial software solution for the businesses
  • Help manage and coordinate a group of six subsidiaries across Africa

 

Position Requirements

  • MBA Degree with Accounting/Finance as a principal subject OR ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification from a recognized body.
  • 10-12 years post-qualification experience in a reputable accounting or auditing firm or other relevant institution, of which 5 years was in a management position
  • Must be a member of a recognized Professional Accounting body
  • Must have good interpersonal skills
  • Must have experience with accounting software.
  • Must have a passion for innovative start-ups with high growth potential
  • Must be willing and able to contribute to the strategy of the business.
