FINANCE ASSISTANT
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
You will drive and be the key owner to the following responsibilities:
- Compute payroll for all employees and ensure salaries are paid on or before 25th day of every month
- Compute Employee social security contribution and pay same to SSNIT.
- Compute Employee taxes including PAYE and withholding taxes and pay same to Ghana Revenue Authority.
- Ensure payment vouchers are generated for all expenses incurred and affix all relevant receipts.
- Proper monitoring of electricity credit balance and top up ECG credit when required.
- Proper custody and filing of all relevant company documents including but not limited to incorporation documents and statutory payments.
- Receive all payment requests and ensure processing of all payables in a timely fashion.
- Filing of VAT returns on monthly basis.
- Ensure renewal of all statutory certificates including but not limited NGO certificates, AMA certificates, and Annual returns to Registrar General
- Ensure proper preparation of Freezones returns and quarterly filing of same with Freezone Authorities.
- Any other task to be assigned by your supervisor
COMPETENCIES
- Tertiary degree and relevant work experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Quick Books
- Fluent in English with good communication skills
- Independent, Self-motivated, reliable, meticulous, analytical
