ENGINEERING MANAGER

 

 

JOB PURPOSE

To manage the process of developing and maintaining software products, ensuring adherence to process and on-time delivery. To establish and follow implementation plans, thus ensuring overall success of business projects.

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

You will drive and be the key owner to the following responsibilities:

 Professional Expectations:

  • Handle multiple tasks with differing degrees of importance. Able to set and meet deadlines, document activities and report on progress.
  •  Manage changes in requirements, priorities and deadlines.
  • Manage his/her own workspace, maintaining all working software and hardware tools in good order (up to date, secure, virus-free, backed up, etc.).
  • Delivers within assigned time limits and according to company's standards
  • Ensures delivery of high quality (defect-free) work that accurately meets specifications and ensures consistency and attention to detail.
  • Takes charge of responsibilities and makes the necessary decisions within the limits assigned to him/her.
  • Enforces, establishes and redefines process and policy in order to improve company’s efficiency and effectiveness, according to upper management vision.
  • Able to find new and innovative solutions, workable ideas and concepts. Open-minded and resourceful.

COMPETENCIES

  • Tertiary degree and relevant work experience.
  • One or more professional certifications (either in software development, system/network administrator or project management.)
  • Experience in software development.
  • Familiarity with Windows.
  • Ability to use office suites, including project management software.
  • Fluent English language, with excellent communications skills; both oral and written.
  • Ability to read, write and maintain documentation pertinent to own area of responsibility.
  • Team leader, decision maker, and motivator.
  • Action person, independent, self-motivated, reliable and flexible.
