The Business Development Manager will be responsible for defining the sales and marketing strategies, managing sales operations, segmenting the market, analyzing the competition, preparing the materials, speaking at conferences, consulting with clients, organizing Esoko Ghana's launch, managing PR and Social media, and building the Esoko brand in Ghana. We are looking for a born networker and strategist who can articulate a complex value proposition, understands how technology can transform efficiency for farmers and agribusinesses, and is keen to work in a private sector tech company with huge potential for social impact and scale.

You will drive and be the key owner to the following responsibilities:


  • Define and implement Ghana's sales strategy and plan
  • Develop and execute a marketing strategy and plan
  • Use client inputs to shape Esoko product strategy and rollout
  • Understand the key market segments and their needs for Esoko
  • Develop a pricing model for the Ghana market
  • Identify and sell the company’s key products and services
  • Design innovative solutions and projects to deploy Esoko
  • Establish targets, projections and effective sales processes
  • Achieve sales targets and key performance indicators
  • Oversee public relations and usage of social media
  • Work with strategic partners to increase marketing reach
  • Write and design sales literature and marketing materials
  • Deliver customer presentations articulately and confidently
  • Network with existing customers for upselling & product ideas
  • Respond to tender documents and requests for proposal
  • Write proposals, reports and supporting literature
  • Analyze Esoko’s competitors



  • 8-10 years of sales and marketing experience (minimum of 3-4 years in a senior position)
  • Background in agriculture (agri-business preferable)
  • Be creative and an out-of-the-box thinker
  • Be process driven: value KPIs, CRM, targets, reporting
